There is no design exhibition happening in Dubai without HomesScope‘s media team right there at the spot. We are always trying our best to reach all the popular events related to design and share with you the latest news. But, this year we even took it a step ahead and played the role of “The official media partner of INDEX Design Series 2017”!, the Middle East’s biggest interior design exhibition currently taking place in Dubai.
Proudly walking through the halls with our presenter, cameraman, and photographer, making interviews and interesting videos, HomesScope was one of the highlights of Index day 2. We’ve made more than 50 interviews with designers, CEOs, and other industry insiders, and we are really excited to share the videos on our blogs, social media, and other popular publications too. For all of you design lovers, we are preparing fascinating and thought-provoking video collage of the best furniture designs and artwork, outstanding and creative enough to catch our eyes and deserves our spotlight. However, being fans of a good design or not, Dubaians are proud of our little art and design community contributing to internationally recognized annual fairs and festivals that celebrate design. For the past decade, these exhibitions have played a key role supporting Dubai to become a leading global destination for culture. Dubai’s Royal family is always present at such big shows, giving their great support. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Minister of Finance and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, officially launched the INDEX and Middle East Stone exhibitions and welcomed their more than 1,100 participants.
As per the expectations, the exhibition attracted over 30, 000 visitors in four days time, which is not surprising number considering our large and ever expanding local design community. According to the official report by INDEX, interior design is one of the Gulf’s fastest growing industries. This booming industry is valued at its highest within the building sector, where its annual worth is 9.2 billion – up almost 1 billion on last year. Individual interior product industries are also experiencing significant profitable growth.
